The Summer Learning Journey is a free digital literacy programme for students in The Manaiakalani Network of Schools. It is designed to encourage our young people to continue their literacy learning over the summer holidays. There are six weeks of activities for students to select from with a mix of reading and writing activities to Learn, Create and Share on their edublogs. All learner posts will be read and commented on by the Summer Learning Journey Commenting Team.

Malo e lele, my name is Kalisi @Glen Innes School. I don’t really know how to do this because I don’t understand Te reo Maori but is there any way that you can translate it into english? Thank you in advance.

  Wouldn’t it be awesome to be fluent in Te Reo Māori? I can only pick out a few words here, but it’s awesome to give it a go.
  
  First make sure you’ve checked out the book and song, which are linked under the Ako or Learn section. They’re all about Tangaroa.
  
  The create is word art using Google draw, finding names for Tangaroa in other cultures. Check out the video next to create for an example.
  
  It’s all about giving it a go. Look forward to seeing what you create!
