About the Summer Learning Journey

The Summer Learning Journey is a free digital literacy programme for students in The Manaiakalani Network of Schools. It is designed to encourage our young people to continue their literacy learning over the summer holidays. There are six weeks of activities for students to select from with a mix of reading and writing activities to Learn, Create and Share on their edublogs. All learner posts will be read and commented on by the Summer Learning Journey Commenting Team.

    Hi my name is Kalisi from Glen Innes School. I have one question as well. What if you can’t go to the beach? Can you use other natural materials?

      Kia ora Kalisi,

      Yes you can use any materials you can find (or even jump to the step it up activity where you draw a mandala instead).
